We interviewed one of Generation’s newest teachers: the wonderful Mrs. Coleman. Read below for what we learned about her interests, family and why she became a teacher.
Mrs. Coleman is a fantastic and kind 4th grade teacher. Her favorite subject is science because she likes to learn about DNA, and she got her masters degree in biology. When she was in high school she did not want to be a teacher, in fact she wanted to be a softball coach! But we are thankful she became a teacher. The school that she taught at before she came to GCA was Calvary High school. Her favorite movie is the animated Grinch because she likes to watch it with her son and spend time with him. She also has two little girls. In the summer, Mrs. Coleman likes to go boating, go to the beach and swim with her family. She said her favorite food is cheese burgers and pizza. Mrs. Coleman has zero pets but one time she caught a ghost crab. She brought it home and she kept it for a week, then let it back at the beach! Mrs. Coleman’s favorite hobby is anything outside because her favorite color is green and she likes being out in nature. When Mrs. Coleman was little, she grew up in Safety Harbor. Her most memorable childhood trip was going to Mississippi farm with her family. Now you know some awesome news about our 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Coleman.
