As Principal of K-2 at Generations, Mrs. Brown loves sharing her love for learning and her Christian faith. She works hard daily to give students foundational skills to begin their school careers. With 16 years experience in teaching, this is her first year in administration leadership. Here is what she had to say:
Q: When and why did you go into education?
A: 2008 - I went into education because I love children and love to be part of their academic and spiritual journey. To see the light bulb go off is my favorite!
Q: Where did you teach before G.C.A?
A: I have taught at Independent Day Corbett Prep School, Richey Elementary School, Gulfside Elementary School, and Bexley Elementary School
Q: What grade level?
A: 1 year in kindergarten and 15 years in first grade
Q: What do you love most about being an educator?
A: What I love most is the student's growth. I love to help students with their challenges and teach them to have a growth mindset.
Q: When and how did you come to Generations?
A: May 2023 - I truly believe that God sent my family to GCA. I was touring Christian schools for my oldest son. When I toured GCA, we fell in love. During the tour, I mentioned that I was a teacher and they told me they were hiring a first-grade teacher. I went home that night and began to update my resume. God is so good!
