Mrs. Rachel Clouse teaches 3rd grade, drama, and math labs at GCA. She is an awesome person, who is nice, kind and caring. For the 2023-2024 school year, she was an IA and 1st grade teacher. She left for a semester to complete her college teaching internship but, lucky for us, she came back to Generations in December.

Her favorite part about teaching is getting to know students. She loves helping kids with their work. She’s been teaching for three years, and considers it a blessing. Her favorite part of the day is when she sees how much fun students have at recess and lunch. She picked this school to work at because she loves to teach kids about Jesus.

Mrs. Clouse grew up in Vero Beach, Florida and went to Vero Beach High School, where she played lacrosse. She has gone to church her whole life, but she didn't start really taking her relationship with Jesus seriously until she was in high school. She went on to graduate college from Liberty University. She really felt like that was where God wanted her to be after she spent a lot of time praying about it. She majored in Elementary Education, and she chose that because she loves being around kids.

“As a teacher you get to really know students and share Jesus with them which is the coolest thing ever!” she said. “Working and going to school was not always easy, but I knew it was God's plan for my life and I relied on Him for strength. He was faithful to see me through it.”

Mrs. Clouse met her husband while she was in college. Her hobbies are reading and playing board games with her family. Clue is one of her favorites. She has been to 46 states and hopes to visit the last four soon. She also loves listening to worship music, especially her favorite singer Phil Wickam. Her favorite subject to teach is science because, “I think it's so cool getting to learn about all the things that God created!” she said.

Teaching drama is exciting and new for Mrs. Clouse. The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe is one of her favorite movies and books. Now, she is directing the GCA production which will take stage in April.

For Mrs. Clouse, teaching is a way to share her love for Jesus with the next generation!
