Savanna, the Next-Gen communications manager here at Generation Christian Church, always has a cheerful attitude and makes sure that no one is left out at church, G-Kids, or at youth. She is filled with the joy of Christ and spreads it wherever she is. Her job at GCC is that she is responsible for social media Pics/LED wall, and teaches kids on Sundays. She also helps by preaching at Chapel. We talked to her about where she grew up, her relationship with Jesus, and working at the church.
Did you grow up in this kind of church?
No, I grew up in a Baptist church and went to a youth group with only 10 kids in it.
Did you always see yourself working in a church?
No, I thought I wanted to be a pilot in the air force.
What was your relationship like with God when you were younger?
I knew of Him, but I didn’t have a personal relationship with Him.
Where were you born?
I was born in the state of Arizona.
How old are you?
I am 20 years old.
What college do you go to?
I go to St. Petersburg college for my business degree.
What do you do at church?
I am incharge of the G-Kids lobby team, making sure that first impressions with kids and parents are fun and energetic.
What is your favorite Bible book?
Philippians
What do you do at Chapel?
I host games, and I also sometimes preach.
What is your favorite level of kids/ young adults to teach?
My favorite level is middle school.
What do you prefer preaching about the most?
I prefer talking about deep messages such as loving your enemies, but also drawing healthy boundaries and letting go of people you love.
What is the hardest thing to preach about?
Topics I haven’t lived through.
