Musical Theater is warming up for their first performance. The play is called Camel Lot. It tells the Christmas story in a fun, entertaining way.

It features many amazing young actors, all performing under the direction of a great teacher, Mrs. Owens. Come watch them at 6 p.m. on December 13 at Generations Christian Academy in the auditorium. Admission is free.

Camel Lot is about a girl named Beth who's practicing for a musical about Jesus being born and she has a dream that her dad’s car lot becomes a camel lot. Irelyn Arnold plays Beth the main female character, and Elias Romano plays Beth’s Dad the main male character. Romano said that the audience can expect, “Excitement, Drama and Power.” Arnold said that the audience can also expect, “Singing and dancing.” This is also Irelyn’s 12th play. “It's fun to perform up on stage and be a person you're not,” she said.

Fortnite is Back: Review

By: Henry Parks, Karolis Ivanauskas, Camdyn Fairbanks

We got our original Chapter 2 Island remix , and we are ready to talk Fortnite. We like to play Fortnite because it is fun, cool and you can play with your friends if you have a mic. Also, it is free! There are just in-game purchases. Not everyone agrees, but we think it is appropriate for kids because there is no blood, but it still looks realistic. The battle pass can give you free  v-bucks and skins and more!

If you don't know what v-bucks are, it’s like money but in a video game way. Cars only cost 1,200-2,300 v-bucks, and you can buy a MARVEL STUDIOS MCLAREN!!!! Also, the game is PVP with bosses that drop mythic items and medallions. There are VERY COOL live events that if you are late you will not see. There are funny maps, rocket racing, Lego Fortnite, creative, and fall guys. You can even participate in championships! The game gives you items if you are first, so you can get skins and v-bucks.

This season has new MITHICS!!!!!!!! DYNMO TNTINA,MEOWDIAS,CHAOS DIRECTOR,UNDERCOVER JULES,and 1-BALL. The only NPC is undercover JULES, and you can hire her by doing absolutely nothing, and it gives you stuff.

SO, that's the lates on FORTNITE!

GCA Band Emerges and Aspires to Make Great Music

By Noah DiGregorio, Alejandro Valdivia, Baylen Flores, Braxton Hallamon, and Colin Pergola

Band is an interesting elective because it’s hands on, and students get to play instruments. This is GCA’s first year doing band. Miss Carr is the teacher, she taught band for eight years before coming here, and is excited to work at a Christian school.

Fifth grader Micah Hoag plays the euphonium which is a brass instrument. He and his two brothers all play different instruments, but only Micah is in the school band.

“My favorite part is when I finally get the melodies right,” Micah said.

Lucas Arnold, who is also in fifth grade, plays the saxophone. He is excited but nervous to perform. “If I mess up I won’t hear the end of it,” he said.

Gabriel Placenca, who is another fifth grader, plays the trumpet. He is happy when he plays because he is with his friends. “When I play it feels like I am in a dream,” he said.

Leilia Clay, who is in fourth grade, plays the alto saxophone. She said that she likes her friends in the band. She practices a  lot because her teacher encourages her. Her family all play instruments and her dream is to go pro.

“GCA is a great school for band,” she said. “Everyone is really good and I love the music that they play.”

Mrs. Carr’s favorite  instrument is the oboe. She went to Florida State University and studied music in college. She loves seeing kids finding success, and to share Jesus.

6th grader Maryssa Jenzer loves cheer!

by: Everley Cheek

Maryssa Jenzer is an amazing cheerleader. She  started cheering because she loved how the sport entertains and is an example of what it means to be a leader. ‘I love how brave and compassionate these born leaders are, to be able to put on a cool show with tricks,” she said.

Maryssa loves competing. ‘’I just tell myself I can do this,’’ Maryssa stated. This is one of the many ways Maryssa motivates herself before going onstage. Maryssa loves cheer, also one of her favorite things about it is she loves to hang out with friends and compete.

‘’I love to hangout with friends and to compete to see who is victorious!” Maryssa said. There are so many different skills in cheerleading but a skill Maryssa is working on is her back tuck!

‘’I'm on my way to work on my back tuck, but first I have to work on technique,” she said. Maryssa has so many friends at her cheer gym, but some of her favorites to be around also go to school at GCA. Myself and Iyrln Arnold also go to Cheer Kingdom. You can meet people in many different ways but here are some of the ways she met her friends, ‘’either on my team or at the cheer gym and they are sweet people.’’

Maryssa said Cheer Kingdom has amazing coaches, teams, people, cheer music, choreographers, and so much more! They even have tumbling classes to practice and get some new tumbling moves. At Cheer Kingdom they also have dance teams! You can learn so much from cheering, dancing, tumbling at Cheer Kingdom. Their colors are purple and gold.

We cheer at so many different competitions such as the East Coast! They have had so many wins with all of their teams. Maryssa cheers on two teams and they are, royal density , and queens! Both teams are elite level teams and very highly skilled.

She has practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays! She practices for 1 hour and a half, and she also practices for 2 hours. To sum it all up Maryssa is a hard working cheerleader, and amazing friend she is an amazing cheerleader, she loves hanging out with friends and cheering!
